První mistovské utkání skončilo úspěchem královehradecké Olympie, která vstřelil druhému Rychnovu 5 branek a to ještě řada vynikajících příleitostí zůstala nevyužita.

Domácí celek vlétl na svého soupeře hned od první minuty. Ze začátku to vypadalo, že se Olympie bude v koncovce trápit, protože první tři vyložené brankové příležitosti skončili na tyči, v zámezí a v náruči hostujícího brankáře Rydla.
První branková situace přišla ve třinácté minutě, kdy si na Huňákovu přihrávku naběhl Dvořáček a pohodlně otevřel účet utkání.
O pět minut později se situace opakovala, s tím rozdílem že nahrávajícím byl tentokráte Dujsík.
Další branku mohl přidat Kubelka, ale nedokázal sklopit nárt a přestřelil vysoko nad po skvělé akci Kašajíka s Eimrem.
Vše si Kubelka vynahradil po půlhodině hry, kdy utekl po pravé straně a přihrávkou vybídl ke skórování opět Dvořáčka. Dvořáček fotbalově pustil míč mezi nohama na lépe postaveného Hůlku, který placírkou uklidil míč do Rychnovské branky potřetí.
Za stavu 3:0 upustila Olympia od nátlakové hry a tempo zápasu upadlo. Přišli i šance Rychnova. Z ojedinělého brejku hlavičkoval v gólové pozici John nad.
Další šance Rychnova přišla po standartní situaci Ráliše, kdy novic Čejchan vyrazil ránu pouze před sebe a následnou střelu vyhlavičkoval Kubelka.
Druhý poločas začal přesně tak jako ten pvní. Tedy tlakem Olympie. Hattrick mohl zkompletovat Dvořáček ale jeho třetí branku v utkání mu rozhodčí pro postavení mimo hru neuznal.
Čtvrtá branka padla po dělovce Motyčky, kterou hlavou dorazil Eimer. 4:0. Motyčka měl i další vynikající střelu, ale ta skončila těsně mimo růžku Rydlovi svatyně.
Po té spálili další gólovky Hůlka a Dvořáček. V té největší selhal i Haken, který z hranice pokutového značky přehodil ležícího Rydla ale bohuel i branku.
Poslední branku přidal levačkou Hejzlar a spečetil tak osud Rychnova v tomto utkání, které mohlo a mělo skončit i větším brankovým rozdílem.
